What is a Machine Vision System for?

OPTICAL SENSORS

The main differences between these sensors and image inspection "systems" is that the camera, light and controller are contained in a single unit.
PROFILOMETERS
The laser profilometer is a device based on laser distance measurement, prepared to record longitudinal and transverse profiles of the object in question, as well as to simultaneously take texture data. Measurements are made with the device completely static, or with a moving head for a scan of the object.
